It's going to be beautiful, it's going to be hot, and the golden rule is to drink water. To do this, more than 1000 Parisian businesses are partners in the operation "Here, I Choose Parisian Water" and offer to fill your water bottle for free.

It's official, next week, summer will officially be here and will bring with it the temperatures that we have been eagerly awaiting. Get out your dresses, shorts, and even bathing suits because the 26-27 degrees will hit hard and without much transition from the winter-spring weather we've had so far. With heat comes the need to stay hydrated. On average, the body eliminates 2.5 liters of water per day, especially when the temperatures are high. So it is crucial to compensate for this loss by drinking as much water as possible. And good news: you can fill up your water bottle for free at many Parisian shops!


Over 1000 Partner Businesses

"Is one bottle enough?" "I'll be thirsty throughout the day"... No need to worry, you can leave your house with an empty water bottle and still find a store willing to refill it for you. In total, there are over 1075 Parisian establishments that are partners in the initiative called "Here, I choose the water of Paris" led by the organization Eau de Paris. They are identified by a blue sticker on their storefront and. An interactive map has been created to locate them.


France, one of the biggest consumers of plastic

The goal is simple: to fight against the use of single-use plastic bottles and promote the use of water bottles. According to Recygo.

In France, it is the 5th country that consumes the most plastic water bottles worldwide. However, only 58% of these bottles are actually recycled. The problem is that plastic production contributes on average to 3.4% of global CO2 emissions. This initiative aims to reduce this impact as much as possible and adds to the 1200 fountains and drinking water points spread throughout the capital and accessible 24 hours a day. So this summer, let's hydrate ourselves and leave the plastic behind!
