What if there was a place in Paris where you could go with your pet to share activities with them and get all the necessary advice for their well-being? Great news, since Tuesday, February 4th, such a place exists! Nestled in the 12th district, at the Chai de Bercy, the Maison de l’animal has just been inaugurated by the City of Paris.

A place for advice and activities
The goal of such a establishment is to be the Parisian spot where pet owners can get the information they need, as well as offer activities for everyone. Every first week of the month, you can join in on discussions, benefit from education workshops for dogs and cats, check out temporary exhibitions, take part in school and after-school activities, and relax in the reading nook.
On Saturday, February 8, participants will have the chance to try "Doga", yoga with your dog, from 11 AM to 11:45 AM. From 3 PM to 4:30 PM, a dog trainer will host a workshop-debate on the theme "How to have a happy dog in the city."
A doggy get-together organized from 5 PM to 8 PM will allow different dog owners to meet each other. Although free, registering for these events is mandatory.
Helping people in precarious situations and their animals
While the Maison de l’animal is welcome to everyone with a pet, it particularly targets those who are in precarious situations or homeless. During these monthly opening weeks, free veterinary consultations and food distributions will be offered on Thursdays for those most in need. A social worker will also be available.
