The Editor

Few of us would choose to live in a house that was the scene of a quintuple family homicide. Yet, this is the case for a couple with a child, who decided in 2019 to move into the former house of XDDL. A decision they somewhat regret today, even though they are doing everything to move on. The house has been completely renovated from top to bottom. Not a day goes by (or almost) without curious onlookers approaching the sinister building, lingering in front, or taking photos, for the bravest. This situation is wearing on the current owners, who are primarily trying to create a true family cocoon by distancing themselves from the rather atrocious past of the place.

And for that, they really went the extra mile, completely redoing the house, exterior included. They painted the front door white to blue, built a glass canopy, and hopefully got rid of the terrace But to protect themselves, they also had to put opaque paper on the windows, and install a camera at the door.

This absolutely unprecedented manhunt creates a bit of an unbearable situation for this family who didn't ask for this, and now lives in a house where thankfully nothing abnormal is happening. It's hard to imagine Ligonnès showing up at the door tomorrow to ask for the few letters he might have received these last years, you know...

A Never-Ending Story

Yet, even though nothing remains today of the story at 55, boulevard Robert-Schuman, it is the fascination that keeps people interested in this house. And more generally, in this case, which could even tend to make some people a little paranoid.

Let's remember that the search for XDDL generates hundreds of reports every year, some more seriously taken than others. Recently, two new leads have emerged, first with the testimony of 3 people claiming to have seen him in Doubs (we are awaiting DNA results in 15 days...), and then following the discovery of bones in Brittany.

But in the latest news, Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès is still at large (rumor has it he is with his entire family in the United States according to his sister). And apparently, he won't be showing up in Nantes anymore. So please be kind, and stop bothering this poor new family trying to make a living the best way they can!
