So many twists and turns! After the first testimony on March 12th, two other people have just added their small contribution to the (huge) building that is the capture of Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès, by affirming that they also saw him in the Doubs.

Could we finally be coming to the end of this story that has captivated France for 13 years now? While the first sighting had caused a stir at the end of March, two new witnesses have just joined this theory, alleging that the man seen in Montferrand-le-Château could indeed be our XDDL sought after for so many years.


A Man with a Mysterious Profile

On March 9th, a man walking " on the roads, without purpose or identity ", introducing himself as Jean (+1 point for originality), was welcomed into the congregation of the sisters of Bethany. Since then, the country has been in turmoil, as 3 people are certain, he bore resemblance to France's most famous fugitive: Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès.

Two new testimonies have now been added to the first one, reviving a lead already taken very seriously, as analyses have been ongoing for several weeks, thanks to DNA samples taken from the cans and plastic cups replaced with edible cups on airplanes.He used the cups that were used by our enigmatic Jean. And one thing is for sure, the man had a way to arouse suspicion, as he showed up without any form of identification, looking for a pl.I decided to stay for a few days, claiming that I was wandering aimlessly along paths and roads...

Finally the end of the mystery?

So here is another twist in this huge manhunt that has kept us on edge since April 14, 2011, the date of the last image of Ligonnès. But let's take it with a grain of salt, since only 3 people claim to have recognized XDDL, out of the 7 who encountered him during his brief stay in Doubs. And as evidenced by over 1700 reports, it's pretty easy to go paranoid when talking about XDDL.

And even though we would be extremely happy to experience the historic moment when this story finally comes to an end, we have to admit that we were expecting something a little more dramatic than a guy calling himself Jean strolling the roads of France. We all imagined himself being transformed into a Bollywood star actor, or maybe a professional football player in the Philippines, you know…
