Named "Salon," the artwork features 6 chairs positioned in a circle around a young woman and the Olympic rings on the ground. This expressive layout symbolizes the desire to come together and make the Olympics a multicultural event. Each chair represents a different continent: West Africa, South America, China, and Europe (twice). The 6th chair, inspired by an ancient seat, pays homage to the origins of the competition. Artist Alison Saar, known for her socially conscious art, also pays tribute to the planet through her work. The creation, made of copper and volcanic rock, is resistant to the elements and environmental pollutants, ensuring its longevity. The statue was crafted entirely in France, in Puy-de-Dôme, showcasing local craftsmanship and reducing its carbon footprint. A remarkable piece that encapsulates the human and popular aspects, as well as the dreams of peace associated with the Olympics.[#JournéeOlympique]
