If the prospect of a new holiday delights us, the weather puts a real damper on the lightness filling our hearts. Indeed, goodbye to walks, getaways, and bike rides; given the weather, this week and weekend will be better suited for a good movie session, a museum tour, or binging a series in bed. Here’s a quick update on the deluge awaiting us in the coming days.

Rain expected 6 days a week

This week, no secrets here, if you want to stay dry and comfortable, you’ll need to keep your umbrella handy at all times. Indeed, according to Météo France's first forecasts, it’s quite simple, it’s going to rain (almost) every day. For now, Only Thursday is expected to be free from any bad weather. And just one day out of an entire week isn’t much at all.

Good news, though: while the rain will be almost constant at the beginning of the week, the extended weekend will see a slight improvement. There will be some rain, yes, but it will be more scattered and less persistent, and a few clear spells are even expected on Friday morning and Saturday in the afternoon. So, we might have been a bit pessimistic at the start of the article, you might actually get to enjoy a little bit of nice weather.

« There are no more seasons. »

Well, while the umbrella has to be a must-have accessory, that's where things get a bit tricky in terms of wardrobe choices. Since France is right at the crossroads between the warm currents from Tunisia and the cold currents coming from Ireland,

In Ireland, the thermostat will only swing between pre-summer temperatures and almost autumnal chills. Get ready for highs around 14° at the beginning of the week, but expect a pretty pleasant comeback to hit 24° this Saturday, May 9.
