Are you feeling a bit puzzled by the Parisian weather this summer? Did you find it shocking to compare the daily 38 degrees at your holiday destination with the sad little 22 degrees trying to break through here in the capital? Don’t worry, you’re not alone! Sure, we dream of enjoying the end of August with sunglasses on our noses, a light dress or linen shirt on, and a cocktail in hand on a terrace. But it seems that reality has decided otherwise for us, serving up a mix of beautiful summer and summer sweet softness, then quickly switching to gloomy autumn, complete with jackets, jeans, and cravings for hot chocolate in the blink of an eye. And you know what? This weekend, the weather forecast shows no sign of a change in plans. Get ready for bouts of warmth and chill, sunshine and rain, wind and storms!

From Sunshine to Storms

A « new standoff between the warmer air in the south of France this weekend and the cooler, oceanic air to the north», that’s how Guillaume Séchet, meteorologist, describes the situation to actu.fr. Friend·you Parisians, you see what awaits you.

If the day on Saturday, August 24 looks bright, with temperatures around 30 degrees, the rain and thunderstorms won’t be long to arrive in the evening, accompanied by some wind. In other words, if you plan to go to Rock en Seine,

Make sure to bring something to keep you warm.

A fresh but sunny Sunday

Starting from Sunday, August 25, the water will have literally stopped flowing under the bridges, making way for some lovely sunshine! It’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy a stroll solo, as a duo, or with the family in a Parisian park. But be careful: you’ll have to say goodbye to the 30-degree days from the day before, which seem to have hopped on the next flight to Miami! Temperatures are going to drop by ten degrees and will stay below 20 degrees on average.
