Last weekend, and throughout the entire weekend, absolutely everyone in the capital was out and about. We have to say, a day like this, on April 5th, was (literally) unprecedented, as the capital broke the record for heat on this date. Some people here at the office even say they got sunburned... Anyway, this wonderful return of the sun, and especially the warmth, has really boosted everyone's spirits. And as good news never comes alone, it seems that this lovely spring weather will stick around for a while longer.
A week of beautiful weather
After these temperatures fit for a June day, we have excellent news for you: the sun is still with us for the whole week. Just a little reminder...
It's going to be a bit chilly, but the thermostat will take a little dip at the start of the week, as a cold wave is about to sweep across the northeast of the country, bringing a moderate chill to the Île-de-France. This means we'll see temperatures closer to 15° than to 20° during the day, and especially mornings and evenings that are a tad less mild. Thankfully, the end of the week should warm our hearts again, with thermometers around 20° on Friday and Saturday.

All good things must come to an end
But don't rejoice too soon, this beautiful sunny spell will probably just be that, a brief interlude. Starting this Sunday, it's the end of the line, with heavy rain forecast in the streets of the capital, just to challenge those brave runners hitting the Paris marathon course. Not only is the rain expected to stick around for the beginning of the week, but it will also come with a drop in temperatures. So, consider this a heads-up; don’t stash away your coats, rain slickers, gloves, and umbrellas just yet—you might need them for a little while longer...
