Weather in Paris: snow is already back this week!

While in recent weeks, the capital and its surroundings experienced some unusually mild weather for November, since this Monday, November 17, the temperature has taken a dive, going well below the seasonal average. So, we want to give you a heads-up: the next few days are looking pretty tough.

Indeed, lately, the weather has been all over the place. We are either way above average or way below, but there's no chance of finding a happy medium, much to the dismay of our hands that have been freezing since this morning. And it doesn't look like it will get any better, as a few snowflakes are even expected in the region soon… So for the lucky ones, let's stay cozy, and for the others, let's get ready to brave the blizzard.


Winter a Bit Early

For the past few weeks, the weather has been playing a little with our nerves. The temperatures rise and fall for no reason, rain is becoming more frequent, and the sun is nowhere to be found. And it seems that this new week will bring no good news on this front, quite the opposite. A pretty intense cold wave is expected…

Temperatures below 0 are about to lash out on the capital, and more broadly on the Greater Paris region of Île-de-France.

Yes, at the beginning of the week, the sky should still be relatively clear, while the temperatures will not exceed 10° in the capital, and they are expected to drop quite low. Unfortunately, the "blue" sky won’t stick around for long, as from Wednesday the 19th, the rain will make an appearance, and it looks like it will stick around with little interruption until the end of the weekend. Temperature-wise, we’ll lose a few more degrees, reaching between 0 and 8°.


The first snowflakes ?

Whether you’re in Paris or the greater suburbs, it’s on Saturday, November 22 that we should brace for the worst, with the lowest mercury readings. Even worse, the residents of southern Île-de-France might just get to see the first snowflakes in the evening. And if .

we're never against a pretty white carpet (because it's pretty magical after all), we think that one month before the official start of winter, it's still a little early. Thankfully though, starting next week, it should get slightly warmer, with maximum temperatures rising back above 10. Phew.
