Weather in Paris: between rain and sunshine, a mixed week for the capital

Alright, on this Monday, May 12, let's not kid ourselves, it’s a bit of a downer. On one hand, it’s (almost) the end of the blessed period of May holidays, and we’re gearing up to face 2 weeks of intense work. Yikes. On the other hand, this beginning of the week looks gloomy, dreary, and cold. Even more yikes. Luckily, we have some very (very) good news for you: temperatures are expected to rise very soon, with a return of sunshine to boot!

A beginning of the week marked by grayness

Lately, the elements have been busy wreaking havoc in the streets of Paris. After hailstones the size of tennis balls just a week ago, it was time for a pretty violent storm to take over the skies of Paris last night. Those bad weather conditions leave behind...

grave;re elles a rather gloomy gray sky. Fortunately, there are still some good news. First of all, even if the color of the sky remains depressing, at least, the rain should be rare, if not non-existent. Plus, the temperatures are staying very mild, around 20°, which means you can keep your jackets tucked away for now. Finally, to top it all off, while this rather dull atmosphere might stick around tomorrow with a similar forecast, starting Wednesday, the weather seems ready to make a 180° turn!

A Beautiful Ending

Starting from the middle of the week, let's bring out the sunglasses and the sunscreen because the yellow star is making a grand return to the sky! Until the end of the week, we’re in for a treat with a big blue sky and temperatures between 20 and 25°C, allowing us to finally uncover a bit. A few light clouds are expected on Thursday and Sunday, but don’t worry, there shouldn’t be enough of them to bring us down or stop us from enjoying our best tanning sessions at the Bois de Vincennes or the Luxembourg Gardens. The cherry on top? This pre-festival weather looks like it's here to stick around for a while. Yay!
