All good things come to an end, and just like getting ready for back to school where we once again find ourselves in offices and classrooms, the weather has decided to switch from a scorching heat to much cooler temperatures for the season. The cherry on top? The return of the rain to boot. In short, you got it—this week promises to bring us back to reality hard, with our jackets on and umbrellas in hand.

Temperatures dropping to 22°C during the day

If there’s a silver lining in all this, it’s that the drop in temperatures will happen gradually, as indicated by Météo France. While we can still expect to feel 28°C on Monday, August 18 during the day, get ready for ....

g>27°C on Tuesday, August 19, then 23°C on Wednesday, August 20, and 22°C on Thursday and Friday, August 21 and 22. After experiencing daily highs of 34 and 35°C in recent days, dropping more than ten degrees might feel a bit sharp. However, the weekend is looking a bit brighter: 24°C is expected on Saturday, August 23, while a rise up to 26°C should occur on Sunday, August 24.

A half-drizzly, half-sunny sky

So, what’s the weather looking like? Well, it’s going to be quite variable! Starting Tuesday, August 19th, rain is making a grand comeback in the capital and much of France too. The same goes for Wednesday, August 20th, which is the first day of the Rock en Seine festival. But don’t we say, “a rainy festival is a happy festival”? On the bright side, from Thursday, August 21st onward, the sun will be back, sticking around until the end of the week. Is this a good sign for the following week? It seems like it might be relatively warm and sunny. Stay tuned…
