After a particularly surprising hot spell that the end of May brought us, a slightly gloomy start to June is on the horizon. It's time to bring out the jackets and umbrellas: the days are expected to be damp, and the temperatures will be much cooler than the 33°C we were (almost) getting used to.

A week between rain and storms

Monday, June 1, 2026, is going to give us another day of respite, and it's promising to be quite pleasant with lovely sunshine without making us sweat buckets. But starting from Tuesday, June 2, rain and storms will make their entrance in the capital, drenching us from morning to evening — a large part of France, including Paris, has even been placed under a yellow storm alert. While Wednesday, June 3, shouldn’t be rainy, it’s expected to be cloudy and gray. Thursday, June 4, and Friday, June 5, will undoubtedly be rainy days before we can finally breathe easy again with a sunny weekend

The start of June brings temperatures in line with seasonal norms

As for temperatures, they're going to gradually decrease. While we can expect a lovely 25°C on June 1st, the next day will see a sudden drop to a maximum of 19°C until June 4th. Friday, June 5th, will be particularly chilly with just 17°C. Fortunately, starting from the weekend, temperatures should rise again: 21°C is expected on Saturday, June 6th, while 24°C should be felt on Sunday, June 7th. And what about next week? According to Météo France, the sun will be out and about, with an average daytime temperature of 22°C, making for a much more seasonally appropriate weather experience!
