Weather in Paris: Is the heatwave finally coming to an end this week?

We almost needed a jacket this morning... The temperatures have finally dropped in the capital and it looks like it will stay that way for a while. The sun, on the other hand, will still be shining bright!

Itchy throat, stuffy nose… No doubt about it: the temperatures have definitely dropped in the capital, leaving us with the task of fending off those pesky cold and flu ailments trying to sneak up on us. This Monday, July 20th, temperatures felt like they were below 20°C in the morning, finally giving us a chance to cool down our apartments and breathe a little easier. And guess what? It looks like this lovely weather is here to stay. Could the heatwave be over for good? 


An average of 25°C expected this week

We're in for a mild start to the week. On Monday, July 20, temperatures won't go above 24°C during the day, with a nighttime low of 16°C. The next day, Tuesday, July 21, we'll reach a maximum of 25°C, before dropping back to 24°C on Wednesday, July 22. Starting Thursday, July 23, we can expect a little warm-up with 26°C during the day and up to 28°C on Friday, July 24. A short heat wave, before we see another dip in temperatures: 27°C on Saturday, July 25, and 24°C on Sunday, July 26. Similar temperatures are expected the following week — perfect for fully enjoying Paris without melting away with every step in the sun.


Continuous Sunshine

While it will be cooler than what we've experienced since the beginning of summer, the weather is not going to (almost) take a turn for the worse. Accompanied by a few clouds on Monday, July 20, the sun will be shining bright all week, right up until the weekend: a few showers are expected on Sunday, July 26, before making way once again for radiant sunshine during the following week.
