Paris is set for a week full of colorful weather surprises. After an almost scorching day, thunderstorms could make a comeback before temperatures gradually drop. But here's the good news: sunshine should return this weekend.

Get your water bottles and fans ready… but don't put away your umbrellas just yet. During this first week of August, Paris weather has decided to take us on an emotional rollercoaster. Between scorching heat, risk of storms and a return of sunshine, here's what awaits you from August 3rd to 9th.


A Monday under sweltering temperatures… before storms make a comeback

If you're finding the air particularly heavy this Monday, August 3rd, it's not just your imagination. According to the latest forecasts from Météo-France, the thermometer could top 35°C in the capital, with an almost sweltering vibe. A suffocating heat that could quickly turn into storms.

Meanwhile, stormy cells could sweep across Paris and its surrounding region, accompanied by wind gusts reaching up to 55 km/h. The result: the capital and its surroundings are placed on yellow alert for both heat and thunderstorms. And as if that weren't enough, evenings should still see temperatures around 30°C, promising rather restless nights. The good news? These storms will also mark the beginning of gradually falling temperatures. Phew!


Nicer weather before a weekend that smells like summer

Starting Tuesday, August 4th, the sky should start looking a bit more generous, though with occasional showers or thunderstorms possible in some areas. On the temperature front, highs will drop back to around 32°C, giving us a chance to breathe a little.

And what's ahead looks rather encouraging. As the days go on, temperatures will stay summery, but without excess, while nights should finally become a bit cooler. From Thursday, August 6th

ît, Météo-France is forecasting a real cooldown, with alternating beautiful sunny spells and milder temperatures. Cherry on top: the weekend could well be largely sunny, with just the right amount of warmth returning to enjoy patios, waterfront walks, or a picnic in the park.
