Every year, it’s the same old story: when we say We Love Green is here, it means the return of rain, cold, and wind. And it looks like 2026 is no exception, as since Monday, June 1st, the temperature has dropped drastically, and rain has made a grand comeback after a week of heatwave and suffocating heat. However, let’s not listen to the naysayers – it seems that this weekend might not be so disastrous after all.
Dancing Between Raindrops
Alright, let’s start at the beginning: the weekend won’t be dry, we all agree on that. However, it won’t be as wet as some might fear. According to various weather sites, rain will start this Friday, June 5th in the early afternoon, but it should stop before the festival gates opening, at 5 PM. The first evening should go ahead without umbrellas, and that goes for those who won’t be heading to the Bois de Vincennes.
Je crois que personne n'a besoin d'ouvrir un article ou la météo pour savoir qu'il va pleuvoir à We Love Green mdrhttps://t.co/nPkfjKLX2n

On Saturday, light showers are expected after lunch, but they should stop in the middle of the afternoon, just in time to see the goat disiz dry, and especially well before the arrival of boss lady Théodora, scheduled for 11 PM. And on Sunday, good news, no precipitation expected. The moral of the story is, whether you are a festival-goer or not, we recommend bringing a raincoat and boots just in case — and because the mud is inevitable — but no worries, everything should go smoothly.
The end of our troubles?
However, starting the beginning of next week, the rain will make a grand return, with quite significant showers expected on Monday morning, Tuesday, and Wednesday. But it’s just to give us a chance to appreciate the return of the sun, which should be with us again starting Thursday. The temperatures are also expected to rise to around 25°C, and the wind that will be with us all weekend (watch out, gusts will reach 40 km/h) should calm down as well! So a little courage, we're almost back in summer!
