Well, it's here: summer is officially here in the capital, and it has certainly made an entrance! With temperatures soaring above 40°C, a heatwave alert has been declared in most of France — yellow and orange alerts are in effect in other parts of the country. To say the least, the temperatures aren't about to cool down anytime soon. What’s in store? It’s a very, very hot and sunny week ahead of us.

A sunny and stormy week ahead
Get ready with your hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and plenty of water to survive this week! From Monday, June 22 to Friday, June 26, the sun will definitely make an appearance, but it will be intermittently joined by showers and thunderstorms. Starting on the afternoon of Monday, June 22, thunderstorms are expected in Paris. While there won’t be a drop of rain on Tuesday, June 23, and Wednesday, June 24, significant thunderstorms are predicted for Thursday, June 25. As for the weekend, showers will be present in the afternoon, helping to cool things down a bit in the evening.
Temperatures ranging from 33°C to 41°C
If we can expect...e;rer expect warm evenings around 27°C, while the days, promise to be… boiling hot. Temperatures in Paris will feel like they’re soaring up to 39°C on Monday, June 22. On Tuesday, June 23, the 40°C mark will be crossed and even surpassed on Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25, with 41°C forecasted by Météo-France. The good news is that starting from Friday, June 26, temperatures will begin to drop: 38°C is expected, then 35°C on Saturday, June 27, and 33°C on Sunday, June 28. Next week is also expected to be warm, but with temperatures much more in line with seasonal norms: between 29 and 32°C.
