It’s a big name in patisserie in Paris, and the creations from Maison Jeffrey Cagnes are snatched up at any time of the year, but unfortunately, this doesn’t change the economic reality. While the company had been placed in judicial recovery since September 2025, it is now in judicial liquidation. As a result: many layoffs and the closure of two shops.

Two shops, 15 layoffs
So far, the name Jeffrey Cagnes has been on the storefront of three Parisian shops that opened between 2021 and 2023 in the 17th, 2nd, and 1st districts, plus an additional one in Levallois-Perret set to open in 2024. This situation will particularly affect the shops on Rue des Moines (17th) and Rue Montorgueil (2nd), along with 15 economic layoffs. According to L’Informé, the first one is expected to be taken over by the company Josette, while the second will likely go to the business that operates Maison Louis, an artisanal pastry shop.

It mentions that there are "numerous unique projects, the result of inspiring collaborations in France and internationally, which will see the light of day starting at the end of 2026." So, the story of Jeffrey Cagnes will continue to unfold in the capital, exclusively at 1, boulevard de la Madeleine, in the 1st.
