Let's be honest, when you're a student in Paris, back-to-school season equals headaches. We know it's tough, but this is definitely not the time to throw in the towel. You could try reaching out to your local student services office, look for roommate situations — which will really boost your chances — live in student housing, sign a short-term mobility lease, or even move in with an older person who'd be delighted to have you.
Now's also the time to download every app under the sun: SeLoger, Bien'ici, PAP, Leboncoin, LocServices, Studapart, Gens de Confiance, La Carte des Colocs, Appartager, ImmoJeune, Jinka… All these websites and apps list dozens of agency and private listings every single day.

Getting some distance from Paris, a solution?
If your budget is tight, don't hesitate to venture a little further out! The 12th, 13th, 18th, 19th and 20th arrondissements are among the cheapest in the capital. But it's in the suburbs where you'll really find some interesting rental prices, like in Nanterre, Cergy-Pontoise, Noisy-le-Grand, Créteil, or Vitry-sur-Seine.
