Metro: the worst line in Paris partially closed in November

It's a tough blow for the users of line 13. Not only are they forced day after day to squeeze in like sardines on one of the worst lines in the capital — which shares the title with line 8 — but on top of that, the month of November will bring them additional hassles with the closure for 5 days of one of its stations. So, who is the unlucky chosen one? No more suspense, we’re revealing everything just below.

A dark spot on the azure line

Okay, we admit, we might have been a bit dramatic with the title. But it was just to grab your attention, dear readers. Because it's better to prevent than cure, and a closure of the Paris metro, even if it's only one station, should be anticipated at least a little. End of November...

From the 26th to the 30th, to be more precise, you'll need to do without the Varenne station for all your travels.

Behind this limited closure, which is undeniably frustrating for the few thousands of passengers who have to transit through it every day, there are some exciting modernization works happening! As the RATP mentions on X, these works are related to the upcoming arrival of the MF19 trains on line 13, after their launch just a few days ago on line 10.

Some good news

Anyway, we're not here to complain about this closure! First of all, it only lasts 5 days, and it only affects one station. Plus, the 2 nearest stations on line 13 are less than 10 minutes away on foot, and finally, it's actually quite good news! Why, you ask? Simply because, as we mentioned earlier in the article, this line is part of the pi...res de Paris — and even from the world, according to a ranking set in 2020 — and everything that could make it more friendly and efficient, we totally support. So if these few days of suspension allow us to access the metro of the future, we can grit our teeth, and say yes, without hesitation !
