Anyone who has ever had to take the 7bis in Paris knows that it’s a completely unique experience. This line, the 2nd shortest in the network, and particularly the least frequented, is characterized by unprecedented carriages on the Parisian tracks, from another era, deep sounds, and a loop that isn’t always easy to grasp, since it is indeed marked by a terminus; in short, it’s a real journey.
A unique line closed for over 15 days
Each year, only 15,000 people traverse its corridors, board its MF 88 (the last in Paris), and make the loop. These 15,000 people will, however, need to find an alternative solution for their travels from Saturday, February 21, up to Sunday, March 8, 2026, so…
during the entire period of the winter holidays for Parisians.[#travaux #ligne7bis] ⚠️ Pour procéder au renouvellement des appareils de voie, le trafic sera interrompu sur l'ensemble de la ligne 7 bis, du samedi 21 février au dimanche 8 mars 2026 inclus.

For the next 16 days, none of the eight stations on the line will be in service. And since eight stations is quite a short stretch, we’re treating you to a comprehensive list: Louis Blanc, Jaurès, Bolivar, Buttes-Chaumont, Botzaris, Place des Fêtes, Danube, and Pré-Saint-Gervais. Throughout the entire construction period, no transfers will be provided. However, a replacement bus will be set up for the whole route.
Good News
This closure, while it may cause a few inconveniences for the most regular travelers on the line, is actually great news! This is because it allows for modernization work and upgrades to some of the track equipment. These changes should help improve traffic, especially with an eye on future developments.
The arrival of the new MF 19 trains on the line is coming very soon. Indeed, the 7bis will have the immense honor of being the second to be equipped with these metros of the future after line 10, and this will happen by the end of the year. Let's just say we're excited!
