For years now, Paris has captured the hearts of countries from all over the world, recording a unique flow of tourists unlike any other. Travelers from the four corners of the globe are flocking here to admire the City of Light in all its glory. And while the sights continue to multiply, some really stand out from the crowd. One such example is the world-famous Iron Lady, recently crowned the most photogenic monument in Europe.

A Comprehensive Study

To put together this ranking, the platform Adobe Express relied on several criteria. First, the number of 5-star reviews for monuments on Tripadvisor, as well as the mentions of "picturesque" and "photo spot" on the recommendation platform. In addition, the number of mentions on Instagram and TikTok was also taken into account, and finally, the number of searches made on Google over the last 12 months.

One thing’s for sure, the Eiffel Tower, a true symbol of the capital, which shone brightly during last year’s Olympic Games, has nothing left to prove to anyone. According to the study, there are 71% five-star reviews on TripAdvisor, 7.9 million Instagram hashtags, over 192,000 searches on TikTok, and especially 27.7 million Google searches from the past year. These are huge numbers that allow the Iron Lady to achieve a total score of 66.19, showcasing the allure of this structure that was widely criticized at the time of its construction.

Paris, a goldmine for aspiring photographers

To complete the top 5, there are several iconic buildings scattered across Europe. The Sagrada Familia (Barcelona) comes in a fabulous second place, with a total of 47.20, ahead of Big Ben (London) at 45.51, followed by the Colosseum (Rome) at 44.67 and the Charles Bridge (Prague) at 41.72. However, while the capital may not shine as brightly on the European stage, it certainly stands out on the national scale, boasting no less than 5 other landmarks in the top 10 of the most photogenic places in France. So, we have the Louvre in 3rd place, Notre-Dame, the Arc de Triomphe, and Sacré-Cœur in 5th, 6th, and 7th places, and finally, the Alexander III Bridge in 9th place. Now you know where to go to spice up your Insta posts !
