Yes, in Monopoly, the Rue de la Paix is the most expensive street in Paris, but in the real world, that’s not the case. So, which street is it? SeLoger-Meilleurs Agents wondered the same and, after 2 years of dominating the market, the Rue de Furstemberg has finally bowed down to Avenue Montaigne (located not far from Rue de la Paix, we admit). This famous Parisian avenue breaks all records, with an average of €23,993/m² (compared to €23,087/m² for last year’s most expensive street, and €10,218/m² in Paris overall). Thanks to this lovely sum, it becomes the most expensive street in Paris, and also in France!
A Delightful Setting
At the same time, let’s be honest, considering the neighborhood, we're not very surprised by this amount. It has to be said that this area, located nearby...
On the Champs-Élysées, you'll find a whole lot of luxury boutiques, prestigious offices and folks with a whole, whole, whole lot of money. It's actually a hotspot of Parisian fashion, ever since Christian Dior set up shop right after World War II.
Overall, the capital stands out with exceptionally high prices, leading the national ranking established by SeLoger. In the same vein, the ten most expensive streets in Paris exceed €21,000/m². In second place, we find the famous Rue de Furstemberg, located in the mythical district of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, which was still at the top last year. Finally, completing the podium is the Quai des Orfèvres (which was the most expensive street three years ago).
Fascinating Gaps
This ranking, established at the national level, highlights extraordinary price gaps within the French real estate market. Thus, between the capital and the towns, the differences are quite astounding!
Cheap areas in France, like Saint-Étienne or Bourges, can sometimes see the prices of the most expensive streets multiply by 11! And while the capital holds the title for the 10 most expensive streets in the country, it’s actually not the city with the highest price per square meter, as that honor goes to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat with a lovely €18,100/m². On the flip side, the village of Romain-sur-Meuse is the cheapest in France at just €570/m², which is 42 times less than Avenue Montaigne! We’ve started looking for a place to move, and there are some nice houses available!🇫🇷 Pour 200 000 € vous pouvez acheter :
