Looking for some thrilling sensations? Climbing the different levels of the Eiffel Tower, even by elevator, is already quite impressive for anyone who's not a climbing enthusiast. But this famous Parisian monument is throwing down a new challenge for its visitors: cross its forecourt, from the south pillar to the north pillar, on a suspension bridge hanging in the void, at a height of 60 meters! You have just over two weeks to take on this challenge, until March 9th; it's a free experience for anyone with a ticket.

A 40-meter-long structure
We usually see suspended bridges through our phones, towering over the Amazon rainforest or the Indonesian jungle in our best friend's Instagram story while they’re off exploring the world. But now, there’s no need to feel envious: the "Vertige de la Tour", located on the first floor of the monument, offers an equally breathtaking experience.

This experience will be carried out in complete safety. Stretching 40 meters long, the bridge structure is made of ultra-resistant nets by a specialized company. “The walkway is extremely sturdy and held in place by multiple parallel and lateral cables. Its resistance exceeds 30,000 kg/m²,” reassures the Eiffel Tower Operating Company (Sete) in its announcement, celebrating the design of the “highest suspended bridge ever built in an urban area in France.”

By day and by night
Want to admire the Iron Lady in a new light, whether it's in full brightness or during the golden hour ? The suspended bridge opens its doors on weekdays from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM, and on weekends from 10 AM to 8 PM. Getting there is super simple: just scan a QR Code available on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, close to the attraction, on the terrace and in the bistro. Slots are offered every 15 minutes, with the option to book for a group of up to eight people. The attraction is open to adults and children from 3 years old ; however, for obvious reasons, children under 12 must be accompanied either by their parents or an adult.
