The suspense is coming to an end: we now know which group will take over the far-right propaganda show from Cyril Hanouna. After weeks of uncertainty and speculation, the host announced he will join the M6 group starting in the 2025 school year. Touche pas à mon Poste (TPMP) will return to W9 on September 1st, still in the form of a daily show. This transition was prominently featured during his final show on channel 8, which will close this Friday, February 28th, due to the lack of renewal of its frequency by the Authority for the Regulation of Audiovisual and Digital Communication (Arcom).

A Lunar Sequence
After spending 5 hours live playing the martyr in his latest show, Cyril Hanouna took the TPMP team on board a “ bus of the future .” Their destination? Charles de Gaulle Avenue in Neuilly-sur-Seine (Hauts-de-Seine), and more specifically, the headquarters of the M6 Group. On the plaza of his “new home ,” the host announced what many, including the journalists from the group, dreaded: a return of TPMP in the same format (in the early evening) on W9 next season. And to ensure that "Baba's" fans have almost perfect continuity, there will be a streaming broadcast starting this Monday, March 3, thanks to a dedicated channel on Dailymotion, MyCanal, Free, and more.

Internal conflicts, but to no avail
The negotiations between Cyril Hanouna and the M6 group had actually been going on for several months, with the host starting discussions right after the announcement of C8's shutdown and, consequently, the end of TPMP, which was drawing an average of " two and a half million " viewers every day. "Four proposals were made to me ", he recently revealed: after considering some television options (moving the show to CStar) and megalomaniacal ideas (creating his own channel, focusing on politics), Bolloré's pawn ultimately chose to stay on the airwaves by accepting the offer from the M6 group. Neither the disapproval of Karine Le Marchand, who was firmly opposed to the host after his repeated attacks, could change that.At their meeting, neither the oppositions of a " vast majority of journalists " managed to stop the recruitment of the troublemaker.

Vigilance and « Safety Nets »
However, the 7.6 million euros in accumulated fines faced by Cyril Hanouna's channel aren't completely in the past just yet. In a statement released this Friday, the Journalists' Societies (SDJ) of M6 and RTL « expressed their deep concern about the potential arrival of this media personality ». For them, the « safety nets » proposed by the group's management, which include a slight delay in broadcast of programs and internal sanctions in case of excess, « have not convinced ».
If the format of TPMP remains the same, what will happen to the content ? Outside of the giant Bolloré group, will his « » Cyril Hanouna play by the rules? Rie .It is certainly true, even if it should focus more on entertainment and leave aside politics, a condition that the union representatives of the group will be particularly vigilant about.
