May the 95% of jerks meet their end [...] Enjoy the hunt. This is how the incredibly violent message posted on Monday, July 8th, on the extreme-right website Réseau Libre wraps up. The intended targets are progressive politicians and a lawyer, just one day after the second round of legislative elections and the joyful NFP results. Not so joyful for the fascists with venom on their tongues.

Five Personalities to Take Down

Explicit, precise, this article constitutes a direct call to hatred and murder. Among the victims targeted by the author, registered under the pseudonym "Léon", are four left-wing political figures: deputies Alexis Corbière and Manuel Bompard, senator Ian Brossat, and outgoing deputy Rachel Keke. Yassine Bouzrou, known for his commitment against police violence and lawyer for Nahel's family, is also mentioned. Even more concerning, alongside the names, Léon also reveals the addresses.

Overall, the post calls for attacking "targets who openly declare themselves as enemies": "lawyers, journalists, activists, and second-rate politicians". Killing, yes, but to "protect oneself", argues the author, and to do so, several methods are possible: "Firearm, kitchen knife, crossbow, or even a pickaxe handle." Terrorism is not ruled out either: Léon would have "immense pleasure" in seeing jihadists commit an attack similar to the one at the Bataclan to "punish the French people who are in favor of immigration".

The offensive continues

Last week, Réseau Libre had already shocked politicians and public opinion by publishing a list of 98 lawyers to kill, to which the author, this time registered under the pseudonym "Condor was criticized for signing a column in Marianne against the National Rally. The current Minister of Justice and former criminal lawyer Éric Dupond-Moretti had strongly condemned this publication, writing on Twitter: "Those who want the death of our freedoms always start by attacking lawyers. I will never let them do it."

But then, where does Réseau Libre come from? According to the newspaper Libération, it is a xenophobic site hosted in Russia and linked to extreme right-wing activist that France has failed to extradite. The activist is said to be involved in online harassment activities and has been linked to planning attacks against the Muslim community.

Several complaints filed

Contacted by the newspaper, three out of five targeted individuals have stated they will take legal action. <I have the honor of being on this list.Of course, "I am filing a complaint," wrote Senator Ian Brosset on X. And same firmness for Yassine Bouzrou, who filed a complaint with the national anti-terrorism prosecutor's office. "I have been receiving death threats regularly for several years, but this is the."The first time my personal address has been included," reacted the lawyer to Le Parisien. An investigation that could lead to the closure of the site has been opened by the national pole against online hate (PNLH) and entrusted to the interdepartmental judicial police department (SIPJ) of Yvelines.
