The Paris metro keeps getting modernized! In March and April 2026, a new line will receive some fantastic, updated facilities. As a result, a few disruptions are to be expected.

Line 12 is getting a fresh new look! Between January and April 2026, the new MF19 trains will arrive on the famous line that connects the Mayor's office of Aubervilliers to the Mayor's office of Issy. But with new things come some disruptions. In March and April, the line will be completely closed several times, and « there will be no replacement shuttle service », specifies the RATP. 


Wednesdays and Sunday evenings affected

So you'll need to plan your trips ahead. Line 12 will be completely closed starting at 10 PM on Sundays March 15, 22, and 29.

2026, as well as Wednesday, March 25, 2026. 

The same goes for the month of April : Wednesdays, April 1 and 8, 2026, and Sundays, April 5 and 12 will face the same fate, so that the new generation metro can connect to the line. 


The rollout of the MF19 metros continues!

It's the line 10 (Boulogne - Gare d'Austerlitz) that will be the first to welcome the arrival of the MF19 metros in October 2025. More modern, comfortable, and efficient, these metros will gradually connect with the lines 3, 3bis, 7, 7bis, 12, and 13. The installation of these metros across the various lines of the Île-de-France network is expected to take place until 2033. So yes, we’ll need to be patient, but in the end, we’ll be tremendously happy, right?
