The Editor

Some time ago, the line 14 was voted as one of the fastest in the capital, and especially among the most efficient in the world. However, maintaining such a title is important, and for the RATP to keep up this level of service, they have no choice but to continually modernize this nearly perfect line. This leads to interruptions and traffic disruptions that are a bit too frequent for our liking, like what will happen this Sunday, November 23rd.

A Delicate Morning

Given how long line 14 has been undergoing renovations, enduring full or partial closures, day and night, we should be used to it by now. Yet, to be honest with you, it’s a real heartache every time new disruptions get added to the list. Especially since this

this time, it’s truly a COMPLETE interruption of the line.

On Sunday, November 23, 2025, the purple line will be completely inaccessible until 2 PM. Of course, there will be no connections at any of the 21 stations between Saint-Denis – Pleyel and Orly Airport. Don't worry though, a replacement bus will be available, but only between the Gare de Lyon and Olympiade stations. For everything else, you'll have to find your own way.

Never-ending Works

If you are one of our loyal readers, you probably know that this is not the first time in recent weeks that line 14 has experienced such a disruption. Just 3 weeks ago, on November 9, the line had already faced similar interruptions.

ng> And unfortunately, as the saying goes, never two without three, the purple line will be closed once again on a Sunday morning before the end of the year. Indeed, on Sunday, December 7th, here we go again, but luckily this time only until 10 a.m. And honestly, if you’re up before 10 a.m. on a Sunday, unless it’s an absolute emergency, something’s a bit off at your place!
