In March, your jogging helps fight cancer

A few months ago, Paris was voted the best European city for sports. And at the same time, when you see the number of runners in its streets, it’s not surprising at all. If you’re part of those crowds of joggers (good for you!), we have excellent news: you can put your training to good use for a great cause!

From March 10 to 22, 2026, Institut Curie is rallying all of France to join in the fight against cancer, thanks to the 22nd edition of its national campaign One Daffodil Against Cancer. It’s a time of general mobilization, featuring numerous solidarity and sports events, including a unique race that could allow you to achieve two goals with one effort.


Every kilometer counts

We all know that doing sports is important for physical and mental health. Many people enjoy regular jogging to release the day's stress and stay fit. And in just a few days, you’ll be able to put this practice to work for a great cause: cancer research. The principle is simple...

you just need to sign up — for 15€, but 1) it’s cheaper than any course in Paris and 2) from this amount, 10€ are directly donated to the Curie Institute —, then just don’t… change anything about your routine !

Indeed, for 12 days, once you’re registered, all you need to do is head to the free app dedicated to « Course Jonquille » to enter your performances. Each distance will then be automatically converted into a sum based on the logic of 1 kilometer = 1 euro, which will then be donated to the Institut Curie by the event's sponsor, Allianz. And as the saying goes, every little bit counts. Whether you run 1 km, 6, 22, or 113, it will already be a generous contribution to this essential cause.


A Global Mobilization

And if running isn’t really your thing, don’t panic! Throughout the duration of the event, there will be other ways to contribute to research, symbolized by the campaign: the j...

Onquille. So, you can, for example, buy daffodils from one of the major partners of the event, Truffaut and Carrément Fleurs garden centers, or even grab pins, pens, bags, and other fun goodies featuring the flower during charity sales to support them. All these products and plants will be available at the official village, which will take place, as every year, at the Place du Panthéon!
