Dear friends who are fans of line 6, we have some really unfortunate news for you. Throughout this brand-new year, which has barely just begun, the mint green line trains will be regularly stopped, either totally or partially. There will be closures during the week and on weekends, and they might last anywhere from 1 day to more than a month. And, to top it all off, it starts as early as next week!
Massive and Complete Renovations
Every day, over 350,000 of you ride line 6. 350,000 of you are packed like sardines in these trains to get to work, to your physio, to visit your friend who gives you a bit of therapy, in short, to live your life. And sadly for you, it might get a little more complicated to get around as you'd like.
seems, and this, for the next 10 months. Just that.[#travaux #ligne6] ⚠️ En raison de travaux de modernisation, le trafic sera interrompu sur votre ligne :

Indeed, due to a massive renovation of its tracks and trains, Line 6 will experience numerous interruptions throughout the year, lasting until the end of October 2025. And while, in principle, this is good news, as it means work to modernize the line and make it more comfortable (especially thanks to the new MP89 trains), and also breathe new life into its historical installations, like the many viaducts, it does imply some challenging days ahead.
The Dark Days
To dive right into the tough part, the first closure period, starting this Monday, January 6, will be the most intense and longest. In fact, from now until February 12, the line will be completely closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays starting from 10 PM (except for January 8), and on Sunday, January 26 all day. Replacement buses will be set up, but only between Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and La Motte-Picquet Grenelle and between Daumesnil and Nation.

The line will be closed from February 17 to 28 between Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and La Motte – Picquet-Grenelle. On April 12 and 13 and May 18 it will be closed between Daumesnil and Nation. On April 26 and 27 and May 25 it will be closed between Charles de Gaulle – Étoile and Trocadéro. On June 15, the entire line 6 will be unavailable. Finally, it will be closed from October 20 to 30 inclusive between La Motte-Picquet Grenelle and Place d’Italie. Good luck to everyone!
