The month might end quite well for certain users of the Paris transport networkn. While the residents of Cergy-Pontoise are facing a bus strike since November 7, Île-de-France Mobilités confirmed this Monday dcompensation measures for the affected travelers. Holders of a monthly or annual Pass Navigo will be reimbursed up to three months of subscription, for a total of €261.60 maximum.

80,000 people affected

This is not the first time that Île-de-France Mobilités has implemented such a measure. Already in March 2023, a reimbursement platform was set up.users' position on the RER lines A, B, C, D and the Transilien P line due to delays and recurring issues on these lines throughout the year 2023.

While this reimbursement is directed only at users of the Cergy-Pontoise bus network, it still affects nearly 80,000 people. To take advantage of it, you need to provide proof of a valid pass for at least one month of the strike, and be residing or working (or studying) in the area served by the bus lines affected by the strike. A refund application form and a dedicated platform on the Île-de-France Mobilités website will be available to users starting February 27.

In addition to the annual and monthly Navigo passes, other eligible passes for reimbursement include those for Seniors, m.ais also Imagine R Students and Schools, Month of 50% Discount and Month of 75% Solidarity. Their reimbursement will be proportional to the discount applied to each of these packages.

A reimbursement planned but still waiting

Announced in mid-January, this reimbursement is part of the new contracts linking the organization to the transport operators, providing for automatic compensation when the service drops below 33% of the usual offer. In this case, the social movement led to a total suspension of buses for several weeks due to a conflict between the management and the employees of Francilité Seine and Oise, before a partial resumption.

However, users will have to wait a bit longer to receive this amount, as the payments are conditioned on the resolution of the conflict. According to Le Parisien, some progress seems to be taking shape: this Monday, the mediator appointed by the Prefect presented seven crisis exit options. Île-de-France Mobilités is now urging the operator Lacroix Savac to accept them to move the negotiations forward.
