Attention users of the oldest line in Paris, known as line 1, and to those unfortunate souls who have to deal with the worst line in the world, aka line 13. According to the RATP and the police prefecture, the station Champs-Élysées - Clemenceau will be closed on February 10 and 11 for the global summit on artificial intelligence, currently taking place at the Grand Palais.
An international gathering
For 2 days, the Grand Palais, which like the phoenix has risen again for the Paris Olympics this summer, will host a major event: the Summit for action on artificial intelligence. Over these 2 days, world leaders, including our president Emmanuel Macron, will be present.
This is to discuss the importance of AI, and all the new developments that come with it.🔴 Mise à jour : mesures de sécurisation et de circulation dans le cadre du Sommet pour l'action sur l'intelligence artificielle.

Of course, when we talk about political gatherings, it also means massive prevention and security measures. So, the Paris police prefecture has announced that the Champs-Élysées - Clémenceau metro station, which services the Grand Palais via lines 1 and 13, will be closed for the entire duration of the event.
Another Problem
If, initially, the Paris authorities had stated that the event would not impact public transport, they ultimately reversed this statement on the evening of Sunday the 9th, announcing a total interruption of transit at the station. This measure adds to travel restrictions imposed on vehicles no longer allowed in Paris.
cars, motorcycles, and other motorized trucks. However, all these restrictions on moving as we please should be lifted starting this Wednesday, the 12th. What if this time, the event is rather short-lived? This metro closure is just another addition to the already far too long list of service interruptions expected this year, mostly due to renovation works. We had put together the entire list right here, but we’d rather give you a heads-up because it might be a bit of a downer.
