It's official! Since Anne Hidalgo announced that she wouldn't run again in 2026, the race for the Mayor of Paris has definitely begun. After Rémi Féraud and Emmanuel Grégoire, former first deputy of our beloved mayor, it's now Ian Brossat, the communist candidate, who is ready to unveil his program. One thing's for sure, he also intends to drastically speed up the pedestrianization process in the capital.
Kilometers of riverbanks returned to Parisians
For several years now, many parts of the Seine riverbanks have been off-limits to cars, to our great delight, especially when the sunny days return, like now, and we're all on the lookout for the best spots to soak up the sun. However, for Ian Brossat, the communist candidate...at the City Hall of Paris for 2026, it's far from being enough.

It would be a gigantic stroll along the Right Bank, like the Coulée verte, stretching from the Garigliano bridge in the 16th to the Bercy park (12th).
Votes on the horizon
Even though we find the idea quite nice, making this project a reality is not on the cards just yet. First of all, it requires the candidate to win the votes in next year’s municipal elections. Then, the Mayor
