Last October, we announced an exciting new race: the 10k Montmartre. The date? This Sunday, January 18, 2026. Runners will hit the charming, cobbled streets of this neighborhood recently voted one of the coolest places on the planet. And let's just say that running in such a picturesque setting would almost make even the biggest enthusiasts want to lace up their sneakers. When it comes to races, there’s a route to know, but also potential traffic restrictions. We’ll fill you in on all the details.

A journey designed through the entire 18th district with a D+153M

We know about the Paris marathon, the half-marathon, the 20 km, the Adidas 10k… and now, a new Parisian race is being added to the list! For the very first time, the 10k Montmartre will take place this weekend. After the Tour de France cyclists who passed through the famous hill, it's now time for the runners! The race will kick off on rue Ordener. The course will continue along boulevard Ornano, then head down boulevard Barbès, going around the Sacré-Cœur, before climbing up rue Saint-Vincent, rue Custine, and rue Clignancourt, and finally finishing back on rue Ordener, in front of the 18th district Town Hall. The first start will be at 8 AM and the last one at 9:55 AM.

Many roads closed to traffic

If you plan to travel in the neighborhood, whether by car or any other motor vehicle, you'll need to take a few precautions. A prefectural order prohibits traffic on January 18 from 6:30 AM to 12:45 PM on many streets in the 18th district, such as boulevard Ornano, place Albert Kahn, rue Belliard, rue Joseph Dijon, rue Ordener, and rue de Clignancourt. The same applies from 5:30 AM to 12:45 PM on rue Paul Albert and rue du Chevalier de la Barre, and from 4:30 AM to 12:30 PM on boulevard Barbès, between rue Poulet and rue Myrha.

As for parking, it will be prohibited to park on rue Ordener, between boulevard Barbès and rue Stephenson, from January 16 at 6 PM to January 18 at 1 PM. Any parking will be prohibé Paul Albert Street from January 16 at 6 PM to January 18 at 12:45 PM.
