Until February 2023, people went to 126, rue de Rivoli to shop for clothes C&A, a Dutch brand that, like Camaïeu, Kookai, and Pimkie, isn’t in fashion anymore. What’s sure to have more success, though, is the exciting new programming of the building, which, after four years of renovations, will be revealed transformed in 2027, featuring a variety of coveted services that Parisians will love. Hotel, restaurant, rooftop, shops: we’re telling you everything about BPM, a new vibrant place with big ambitions.

« Haute couture in the heart of the city »

For now, the construction site at 126 Rivoli, led by the group Redevco France, a European real estate player, is in full swing. A 70-meter crane, installed in the night of March 31, marked «the beginning of the construction phase», as reported last month by Cécile Pouzadoux, director of the Redevco France portfolio, to Parisien. The goal of BPM: to offer «various uses that will fill the day», all in the heart of the city, as the site is located between Châtelet and La Samaritaine.

Vegetated rooftop, hotel, restaurant…

The project will feature eight levels and will bring together a urban logistics hub (500 m²), shops spread over three floors (3,000 m²), offices (4,000 m²), a hotel, a restaurant, as well as a green rooftop. This terrace, which will rise two stories above the neighboring buildings, will be open to the public and will offer an exceptional panoramic view of Paris.

Described as a “architectural gem”, this creation has been entirely reimagined in the spirit of “urban haute couture” championed by Redevco, in order to “adapt to the new commercial uses and urban lifestyles of tomorrow, on a thoroughfare frequented by nearly 36,000 visitors per day”, emphasizes Cécile Pouzadoux, always in Le Parisien. The new building will be accessible via three entrances: rue de La Bourdonnais, rue dat Déchargeurs and Rue de Rivoli.

A truly social project

As highlighted by Les Échos, Redevco has dedicated 120 m² of the project to a charity focused on professional reintegration, showcasing the strong social commitment of the project.

t. Its beneficiaries will have the chance to collaborate with the future occupants of the building, especially in high-demand sectors like hospitality and catering. Meals and used but still usable bedding will also be redistributed to the nearby Emmaüs branch, located in the same building as BPM.

To top it all off, the developer is looking to create a partnership with After-Squat, the iconic artists' residence at 59 Rivoli, to host artistic events there. A lifestyle space, but also a cultural one, that will certainly keep people talking!
