So last week, the weekend of May 1st was (almost) ruined by the closure of Gare de Lyon, leading to the cancellation of a fair number of TGV and Transilien trains, and this week, we might be in for some new mishaps with the RATP. Yes, the RER Line B will be partially unavailable from Friday to Sunday, including if you’re hoping to get to Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle.
A closure that complicates departures
To carry out maintenance work, the RER B will be completely inaccessible from Friday, May 8th starting at the beginning of service, until the end of train operations on Sunday, the 10th in the evening, between the stations Gare du Nord and Airport Roissy-Charles de Gaulle. No trains will be passing through the affected stations and, of course, no connections will be possible in both directions, making it tricky for those wanting to catch a flight or, on the flip side, head back home. And they won't be the only ones feeling the impact, as the branch heading towards Mitry-Claye will also be unreachable on the same dates, bringing the total number of closed stations to 15 (!).

Backup Solutions
To ensure a minimum of transportation, replacement buses will certainly be set up to help you reach your destinations and move around fairly smoothly. So, if you're headed to a match at Stade de France, bus 302 from Gare du Nord will take you there safely. For the branch to Mitry, hop on the B3, which is a bit longer than the RER but still an option! Finally, for the airport, you can catch the B5 from Stade-de-France-Saint-Denis (on the RER D), which will take you nonstop to terminal 2. To get to terminals 1 and 3, you'll have to use the free shuttles available at Roissy. In any case, we recommend you plan ahead!e !
