Pass Navigo refund: the campaign starts this week!

We told you about it a few weeks ago, but a brand new refund campaign just launched on Tuesday, March 18, 2025. It’s for users of the RER B, RER C, or T12 line, who can get up to a month of their fare refunded due to (too many) delays in 2024.

Good news for some users of public transport in the Île-de-France who are victims of repeated delays (and God knows there are many)! Like every year since 2021, Île-de-France Mobilités (IDFM) is launching a compensation campaign for Pass Navigo holders when the punctuality of trains on its lines drops below a certain threshold. And apparently, the threshold is a bit higher for them than for us, otherwise it would be Navigo refunds for everyone. After an initial round in February, this time it’s several lines of the RER B and C as well as the brand new tram line T12 that are impacted.


Waiting times that are just too long

This new compensation campaign, for which the compensation platform has just opened, is based on punctuality data.

from the previous year. The concept is simple, if the delay rate is over 20% for at least three months in the year 2024, then the daily users, who are significantly affected, can request a refund equivalent to a maximum of one month's subscription.

Delays that may be due to extended strikes, major disruptions, or construction work… This time, it affects everyone who regularly used the two RER lines in the Paris region last year, but also line 12 of the tram, which was recently inaugurated but has clearly had a bit of a complicated start due to delivery delays for the tracks and issues with training enough drivers.

But how do you know if you are affected by this new and exciting campaign, which could earn you up to 88.80 euros ? It’s quite simple; just check if you regularly used the previous year...

you have borrowed one of the following axes :

- RER B : Aulnay ↔ Mitry-Claye, Aulnay ↔ Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2, Axe Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse.
- RER C: Dourdan-la-Forêt ↔ La Norville, Saint-Martin-d’Étampes ↔ Marolles-en-Hurepoix.
- T12 : Évry-Courcouronnes ↔ Massy-Palaiseau.
