Wow, it looks like there's going to be a lot happening this Friday! To kick things off, it's the day of the ticket sales for the concerts by Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar AND Diana Ross. It will also be the second night of the new season of Dancing with the Stars. Lovebirds will have the chance to declare their love throughout the capital thanks to free flower bouquets. And, as the cherry on top, RATP has just filed a strike notice for RER lines A and B. What a big day ahead!

Software that leaves much to be desired

To justify this strike, the details will be clearly outlined.

;According to RATP, on Wednesday, February 12 in the evening, the unions La Base and FO-RATP are talking about the Orchidée application, launched back in December to help agents request their days off, allowing them to better balance work and personal life. They report that over 850 train drivers have been raising concerns for several weeks about bugs and malfunctions. There are stories of vacations being assigned at random times and the inability to confirm certain days. In short, it's a bit of a mess.

Solutions in Development

The RATP, which for the moment has not lifted the notice, has indicated that corrective measures have already started to be deployed to address the situation and that each complaint has been considered individually up until now. However, it seems that this is not enough for the various concerned parties, who have until the evening of Wednesday the 12th to declare (or not) their strike.

Either way, it’s going to be a bit chaotic on the two lines, with some train cancellations expected. Especially since many construction works have been announced on all the northern lines leaving from Gare du Nord, from February 14 to 17 inclusive. A little tip: if you want to go declare your love to the one who has your heart on Friday, make sure to plan your route accordingly, friends.
