Weather in Paris: the red alert continues, temperatures are rising until July 14th

The heatwave continues in the capital at least until July 14. The temperatures should gradually decrease afterward, giving us a few days of relief. 

The heatwave isn't about to stop anytime soon. This Monday morning, July 13, Météo-France announced that it will maintain red alert in Île-de-France until Tuesday, July 14. This is due to a very hot air mass [that] is stagnant over the country for several days . Between 37°C and 41°C have been recorded in the departments already under red alert during the weekend — including Île-de-France. According to the meteorological organization, on Tuesday, temperatures will rise again, suggesting a particularly hot national celebration.


Sunshine at the start of the week, rain for the weekend

This week will have a mix of weather: warm and sunny at the beginning, but cooler and rainy towards the end. On Monday, July 13, we can expect some showers and even thunderstorms starting in the afternoon. In the following days, the sun should come back, although clouds will also make their big return. From Friday, July 17, the trend flips: rain will be on the agenda all day until Saturday, July 18. Sunday, July 19, promises a sweet and clear day.


25°C expected by the end of the week

As for temperatures, they will be quite high until July 14. Up to 36°C is expected!

will be felt in the capital. They will gradually decrease, with between 34 and 35°C on Wednesday, July 15, and Thursday, July 16, followed by a drop to 26°C on Friday, July 17. They will then stabilize: the weekend will be all about 25°C. A new increase is only expected on Wednesday, July 22 with 29°C.
