After months of waiting, it's time to break out the flags. Cancelled at the last minute on June 27 due to extreme heat, Paris Pride finally gets its chance to shine! Last August, organizers announced that the new date for the march had been set for Saturday, October 3, 2026. A gathering that's a little less summery than planned, but just as festive, activist-driven, and bursting with color. Here's what to expect from the day.

From June to October, Pride extends the celebration

Originally, the Pride March was supposed to take place during Pride Month, celebrated every June in tribute to the 1969 Stonewall riots, the founding event of LGBTQIA+ activism. But this year, temperatures got the better of the schedule, as in the context of extreme heat, a police prefecture order had led to

First organized in France in 1981, the Pride March brings together thousands of people in the streets of the capital each year. And this autumn edition should keep the DNA we know, with committed speeches from the start of the day, a militant and festive atmosphere, then a big free show on Place de la Bastille.

Kickoff from Place d'Italie

While the month may change, the message remains the same: defending equal rights and celebrating LGBTQIA+ people. Speeches will therefore start at 12:30 pm on Place d'Italie, the starting point of the march. From 1 pm, the procession will head out into the streets of the capital, crossing several major Parisian avenues. The parade will go down Avenue des Gobelins, Boulevard Saint-Michel, Île de la Cité, then continue its route on Rue de Rivoli and Rue Saint-Antoine to arrive at Place de la Bastille.

And at the finish line, as always, it's time for the big show! The traditional Health Village and stage will be set up at the foot of the July Column, welcoming performers and speeches to wrap up this day filled with celebration, visibility, and commitment. From 4pm to 10pm, a spectacular showand free will parade the queer stars that inspire us, from drag queen Le Filip to DJ Agathe Mougin, passing through the Madame Arthur troupe, singer Thea Rose and revue dancer Allanah Starr. In short, this year, Paris Pride is swapping June tank tops for mid-season jackets, but make no mistake, the energy will be there!
