As every beginning of the year since 2021, IDFM looked into the punctuality levels of the different RER lines to see if, based on the traveled sections, some people were eligible for financial compensation. And great news, it seems that no less than 5 sections were disappointing enough to provide a little compensation to their travelers.
Bank error in your favor.
A few weeks ago, we regretfully announced that this new reimbursement campaign would only concern 2 sections, located on lines B and C of the RER. But we are more than happy to announce that this is no longer the case! Indeed, IDFM has decided to lower the requirements and...
reimbursement criteria, and so ultimately 5 sections will be affected! This is excellent news considering that the RER D, which unfortunately has a delay and disruption rate that is unmatched — and the steepest drop on the network last year — had initially been excluded due to overly strict criteria. The problem was its punctuality rate, which was just above 80%, while the reimbursement criterion was set at 79%. This news should bring a smile to many commuters.

A Few Lucky Ones
But then enough suspense, who are the lucky folks involved? We're talking about passengers on the Aulnay - Mitry-Claye and Aulnay - CDG2 branches of the RER B, Dourdan - La Norville on the RER C, and finally Creil - Goussainville to the north and Vigneux - Corbeil-Essonnes to the south of the RER D. Well, we prefer to give you a heads up, even if you are among the fortunate chosen ones, you won't hit the jackpot, because the campaign only expects to cover up to half a month's worth of a Pass Navigo, which is 44.40 euros. But hey, every little bit helps, and if you're interested and able to take advantage of it, head over in mid-March to the dedicated platform on the IDFM website! In the meantime, we’re still waiting for a gesture to be made for users of line 9…
