It's a major project that is finally about to see the light of day in Boulogne. By the end of the year, Île Seguin will reveal a whole new face to the public after months of construction. On the agenda: a gigantic art center, a cinema, all sorts of shops, and also the brand-new Gauthier-Mougin departmental park, which will be opened to the public as soon as this Saturday, January 31! A unique link between nature and culture
Spending time in the parks of the capital, when we think of a Parisian garden, we often picture neatly designed paths, shortly trimmed grass, and well-maintained flower beds. At the Gauthier-Mougin departmental park, n, not at all, the landscaper Michel Desvigne has envisioned a unique place where nature takes back its rights, all while celebrating culture, the true reason for the transformation of Île Seguin.

Here, the flowering becomes a true cultural experience, creating a connection between vegetation and contemporary art. At the heart of this exploration is a sculpture trail, which will take place at the Point of Arts. About twenty creations by Jean-Charles Castelbajac, Jacques Villeglé, Peter Stämpfli, and Marta Pan will turn this island into a true open-air museum.
An Island in Full Transformation
Apart from this magnificent garden, which will be unveiled on Saturday, January 31, the entire area will be completely transformed in just a few months. On the agenda: a huge cultural center of 5000 m², featuring exhibition areas, stages, a cinema, a bookstore-café, a bar, and even a panoramic terrace.
