This Parisian hotel ranks among the world's top 15

Paris continues to shine on the world's luxury hospitality stage! At the World's 50 Best Hotels 2026 ceremony, four Parisian hotels made their way onto the list of the world's finest. Better still, one of the French capital's prestigious addresses secured a spot in the top 15.

We all know it: Paris is often synonymous with excellence when it comes to gastronomy and hospitality. Every year, the capital ranks at the top of all the lists, whether it's bars, restaurants, or hotels. And after seeing two addresses honored by La Liste's top 1000 this summer, this time four establishments have been awarded by The World's 50 Best. So, which are these palaces that managed to stand out?


French excellence

Last year, Paris had "only" three hotels in the World's 50 Best Hotels ranking: Le Bristol (19th place), Cheval Blanc Paris (21st place

e) and the Hôtel de Crillon (23rd place). This year, not only does the capital have one more address — it's the Plaza Athénée — but even better, its top address climbs 5 places this time around, reaching the top 15! So in 2026, the Hôtel de Crillon was recognized at 14th place, Le Bristol, which holds onto its 19th place, the Cheval Blanc which moves up one spot to 20th place, and so Plaza Athénée, which climbs to 41st place. Establishments that have stood out thanks to a French-style expertise, blending history, cultural richness, elegance and premium services. But also an exceptional gastronomic offering (and we'd expect nothing less from our palace hotels).


Paris at the Top

If some of you are a little disappointed to see that Paris doesn't crack the top 14, we've got good news for you—the French capital is far from disappointing overall. In fact, with 4 addresses in the top 50, it's the most decorated city — tied with Bangkok, but still. More broadly, while the first establishment on the list is located in Hong Kong, in Asia (the Rosewood), Europe is the most represented continent, with 21 addresses in the top 50, and France is the most represented country, since two other hotels complete the Parisian list: Hôtel du Couvent, in Nice (38th place), and Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes (44th place).
