We dreaded it, and yet it had to happen eventually. Say goodbye to those lovely summer evenings spent outdoors, arms bare, warmed by a gentle golden sun at day's end. Time to dig out the jackets, grab an umbrella, and get used to grey skies again — even though we loved them so much when they were blue. In this second week of September, the weather will take a turn for the worse just as temperatures drop across the capital, gently making way for autumn's arrival.

A week dotted with showers
Monday, September 7th, 2026 still gives us a little breathing room: from morning to evening, the sun will be shining in Paris. However, starting Tuesday, September 8th, 2026, things are going to get trickier! While the morning will be cloudy, the afternoon will be rainy, according to Météo-France.

On Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th September 2026, the sun will make its grand return throughout the day. However, Friday 11th September 2026 will alternate between sunshine and showers from morning to evening. What about the weekend? Well, it should be fairly nice: a few clouds will very likely pop up here and there, but sunshine will be the main event.
Temperatures around 20°C
As for temperatures, they will drop significantly compared to the heat we've been experiencing lately, and that's not a bad thing! On Monday 7th September 2026, we'll still enjoy 27°C during the day, but from the next day onwards, don't expect more than 23°C. On Wednesday 9th, Thursday 10th and Friday 11th September, temperatures won't exceed 20°C. Over the weekend, we can a slight increase will occur, with 23°C in the afternoon.
