In November, Paris unveiled the vibrant colors and visual identity of the 2024 Olympics at the City Hall square, with colorful panels in shades of purple, pink, and blue spreading throughout the city. From metro signs to giant Olympic rings on the Eiffel Tower, it's clear that Paris is preparing to welcome this historic event.
Adding a touch of pink to your commute?
One of the first noticeable changes? The new signage panels and stickers in train stations and public transportation are now a pretty candy pink color that stands out. They can be seen on platforms, hallways, and even inside the train cars. Whether it's indicating the right stops, exits, or shortest routes, RATP and IDFM have made an effort to make life easier for visitors. We're not completely convinced of the necessity of such a service, especially with the abundance of transportation apps available. Plus, let's be honest, some. Some of these signs could use a little more clarity, in our opinion. For instance, they are all in French, without any translation.

The Olympics are taking over the streets
The same phenomenon can be seen on the main streets of the capital, where hundreds of banners have been put up. Hung on (almost) every street lamp post, they leave no doubt about what will soon be happening in the City of Light. The streets are adorned in a grand way since April, and the decorating spree has continued. In fact, some street signs have been specially altered for the Olympics. Most recently, the steps of Montmartre Hill have been converted into sports-themed art, embellished by kids from recreational centers in various Parisian neighborhoods. This burst of color even extends to bike lanes. Indeed, these trails (many of which have been specially created for this event) have been leading up to a lovely square, also painted pink, where you can see, in large letters, Paris 2024.

There will be sports everywhere!
To show that the spirit of the Games has taken over Paris, a large number of sports facilities have been set up. Whether it's official competition stadiums built for the occasion, recreational areas decorated in the colors of the Olympics, or school yards equipped with hopscotch and running tracks, nothing is left to chance. For example, the recent openings of the Olympic zones at Trocadéro or at the Concorde. Or the murals that have been created for many basketball courts throughout the city. And finally, tennis courts, skate parks and other urban sports areas popping up in different districts like little buds.
Let's spread love and joy to help heal each other's pains.

A fantastic event at the amazing monuments
The city's most iconic monuments are being transformed into symbols of the Olympics. Remember when we told you about the Olympic rings being added to the Eiffel Tower? Well, the Paralympic Agitos have now found their place at the Arc de Triomphe. The square in front of City Hall, where a fan zone will be set up during the Games, has been given a complete makeover. The steps leading up to the Basilica of the Sacred Heart are now decorated in the official Games colors. And that's not all – even beloved Parisian spots like Paris Plage have been revamped to celebrate the Olympics. With all these exciting changes, it's no wonder someone just realized that the Olympics are happening in Paris this summer!
