On Faubourg Montmartre, the party isn’t over yet! After two years of silence, the legendary Parisian nighttime institution from the '80s, also known as Le Palace, has found a new owner. Mickael Chetrit, an entrepreneur and producer who also heads the Palais des Glaces, is getting ready to breathe new life into Le Palace, according to AFP. The idea? To bring back the DNA of this iconic place from the glorious days when it hosted concerts and countless stars. But for now, patience is key: one year of renovations is needed to make this institution shine again, with a grand reopening planned for autumn 2026.

The Queen of Parisian Nights

In 2023, we said goodbye to the checkered tiles, top-notch DJ sets, and the red letters on Faubourg Montmartre. Farewell to the smoking lounge in the staircase, m...

Mirrors in the entrance hallway and unexpected encounters on the dance floor at an advanced hour. The Palace, which had already experienced a revival since 2018, was sadly closing its doors for good to the night owls of the capital. This news brought a wave of nostalgia for those eager to reminisce about the golden age of the venue. Once in the 80s, it swung between concert hall and nightclub, hosting the biggest artists from around the globe like Prince, Amanda Lear, and Grace Jones, who came to perform on stage. From the balcony to the basement (decorated by the painter Gérard Garouste), a different kind of party came to life night after night, bringing together Mick Jagger, Inès de la Fressange, Andy Warhol, Yves Saint Laurent, and Karl Lagerfeld. So much so that the Palace became “a name known worldwide”.

An Unexpected Revival

Abandoned from 1996 to 2008, completely restored into a performance venue, and reopened in 2018 only to close its doors again in 2023… The Palace has already weathered a few storms. Maybe this time will be the charm? The new owner Mickael Chetrit wants to transform this venue into a favorite spot for the biggest artists, just like in the past. To achieve this, he is entrusting the decor to Jacques Garcia, who himself has experienced the wild nights at the Palace. With a capacity of up to 1,400 spectators, The Palace is set to light up its neon lights and host its first concerts in October 2026
