Just a few weeks before the opening ceremony of the Olympics, and therefore the arrival of hundreds of tourists, RATP finally brings us some good news. With stations closed and tickets at exorbitant prices, it was about time! After several months of work, line 14 will officially open on June 24 to connect Saint-Denis in the north and Orly in the south.

A Central Line for the Olympics

For a few months now, this line has been presented as the true "backbone" of public transportation during the Olympics. It must be said that it is fast, central, and all of its stations will be open. And now that the line will allow for both going to the competition venues in Saint-Denis and making fast and convenient trips from or to Orly Airport, let's just say that it is definitely taking the top spot in the ranking of the most stylish and useful metro lines in Paris.

To travel from one terminal to the other on this super-fast line, you will simply take 40 short minutes, which is the time it takes to travel 2 stations on Paris' metro lines.

This news warms our hearts a bit, especially after learning a few weeks ago that many, many metro stations in the capital will be closed during the Olympics, starting on July 18th, which is a full week before the official start of the competition.
