Last spring, while possible swimming sessions in the Seine were making quite a stir for the Olympics, the City of Paris announced the opening of swimming in the river to all Parisians by 2025. A few weeks later, it was the free nature of the operation that was shared this time. And on Wednesday, May 14, the most important detail was finally revealed: the date of the big dive. We’re telling you everything!
Two months to become the future Léon Marchand
It is with immense joy that we announce that starting July 5, and until August 31 – throughout the duration of the Paris Plages operation – you will have the pleasure of donning your finest scuba gear to check out what’s happening under the (slightly) murky waters of the Seine. During all
During this period, each of the three sites (Bercy, Marie's arm, and Grenelle's arm) will be open for free every day. On the agenda, there are swimming pools ranging from 400 to 1400 m², including some shallower ones for kids, as well as sunbathing areas to relax and soak up the sun by the water. Plus, at least from the chill zone, you'll have a little less chance of encountering a 2-meter catfish. In the meantime, you can find all the details on the City of Paris website, right here!La mairie de Paris va ouvrir trois sites de baignade quotidiens dans la Seine du 5 juillet au 31 août. Well-defined and complete zones
Each of the three spots will include swimming areas, as well as changing rooms, showers, and storage zones, all to make the experience as enjoyable as possible for all the brave Parisians who dare to see if sharks are hiding in the Seine while the summer heat takes over the capital. But will they really show up when the water quality still leaves much to be desired, despite recent tests claiming everything is safe…? It's a perfect chance for some to try mussel fishing after all!

👉 Avez-vous aussi hâte que l’ex-ministre des Sports Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, qui avait laissé éclater sa joie lors de sa baignade avant les JO ? pic.twitter.com/SUwvip3V9w
