The Editor

A highly symbolic gathering! On November 13, 2025, from 6 PM to 8 PM, the City of Paris is organizing a memorial ceremony in honor of the victims of the 2015 attacks. The gathering will take place at Place Saint-Gervais, in the 4th arrondissement, where the Jardin du 13-Novembre-2015 will be inaugurated.

This new symbolic space will connect the six sites affected by the tragedy and will become a place of memory and life. The paths, inspired by the layouts of the impacted neighborhoods, evoke the wandering, the fleeing, and the waves of solidarity experienced that night. As night falls, the garden will be illuminated by a constellation of amber lights, recreating the celestial canopy of November 13, 2015.

A ceremony designed around the victims

Imagined by Thierry Reboul, executive director of the Ceremonies for Paris 2024, the evening will pay tribute to those who lost their lives that night. Music, especially the rock music beloved by several victims, will be at the heart of the ceremony. Victim associations, the mayor of Paris, and the President of the Republic will be present for a moment that is both sober, artistic, and deeply human.

A week of remembrance and sharing

Starting on November 8, Paris will live to the rhythm of remembrance. At the foot of the statue of the Republic, everyone will be able to place a candle, a flower, or a note. There will be conferences, meetings, and ...

Performances will explore the transmission of memory and collective resilience, particularly at the Theatre de la Concorde and in several district town halls.

The author Pauline Susini will present Les Consolantes, a play inspired by testimonials collected during the trial of the attacks, while a photographic exhibition will revisit the moments of solidarity observed in 2015.

Special attention on France Télévisions

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the attacks, France Télévisions will dedicate an entire day to the memory of November 13. Throughout Thursday, November 13, 2025, the channels and platforms of the group will showcase documentaries, series, and testimonies about the victims, survivors, and witnesses of that tragic night.

Among the highlights, the series Des vivants by Jean-Xavier de Lestrade retraces the journey of several hostages from the Bataclan, bonded by a strong connection since their survival. The documentary November 13, our lives in pieces, aired on Infrarouge, is based on the extensive November 13 Program from CNRS and INSERM, which has been collecting witness accounts for ten years to build a vibrant collective memory.

Art, sports, and brotherhood on the agenda

The commemoration goes beyond official ceremonies. On November 9, the 13-UNIS day will blend sport, art, and memory with a race starting at the Stade de France, a march from the Place de la République, and a Brotherhood Village on the square in front of the City Hall. Several exhibitions (Paris Remembers, I Am Paris, or Facing Terrorism: A Citizen’s Memory) will invite everyone to explore the capital differently, combining tribute and transmission.

Finally, on November 13 at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris will perform It’s November in My Soul, a piece composed in memory of the victims, to wrap up this week of tribute on a note of hope.
