As the mercury keeps rising day after day — and clearly, it’s not going to stop anytime soon — we’re all on the hunt for the best spots to cool off. Good news, a brand new green space is opening this Saturday in the 11th, perfect for finding some shade!

Who would have thought that just a few months ago, there was a parking lot on this vast space of Avenue Bouvines? Today, without a doubt, we’re seeing a successful new greening from the city of Paris, creating a delightful area for us. The official inauguration is set for this Saturday, June 20, in the presence of Emmanuel Grégoire and his companion from the 11th, David Belliard.


A space designed by all, for all

More than a hundred trees have taken root these past weeks in the brand new Garden of Bouvines. This green space is located on the eponymous avenue, connecting Rue de Montreuil to Place de la Nation. A truly successful transformation for this axis, now offering a delightful environment for everyone!

a real pocket of freshness, complete with dozens of plant species, play areas for children, paths to learn how to ride a bike, fountains, and benches for walkers seeking a quality break. Spanning over 1500 m², this space was designed with local residents and schools to meet specific criteria: to provide a pleasant living space and necessary for the health of the capital and its inhabitants. The garden is accompanied by a Children's Street, to ensure safe access to the school located on the avenue.


Join us on Saturday for the inauguration

While the space has been accessible to everyone since May, its official opening will take place this Saturday, June 20th at 11 AM, with Emmanuel Grégoire, the Mayor of Paris, and David Bellliard, the former deputy in charge of transportation at the Paris City Hall and the current mayor of the 11th. Both officials will take a short stroll through the garden, before the Duranti conservatory band takes over to bring us a festive moment. A friendly gathering is also planned, where there will be a plant swap (the perfect chance to spruce up your living room or windowsill), as well as a free distribution of seeds and bulbs,and even compost to start their own home garden.
