A few months ago, we talked about the potential arrival of a new bike-sharing operator, but it wasn't officially confirmed yet. Well, now it is! Starting this Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the Swedish company VOI is coming to the capital, bringing bikes to the entire metropolis, sharing the stage with Lime and Dott. These new two-wheelers have a lovely coral orange color.

By setting up in the capital, VOI promises to shake things up, especially with its prices. While a 30-minute pass costs €3.99 with Lime and Dott, it’s only €2.99 with VOI. An hour with Lime is €6.99, whereas with VOI it’s just €5.49. For frequent users of shared bikes, the difference is striking when it comes to subscriptions: €21.99 with Lime versus €16.99 with VOI for 200 minutes, and €39.99 with Lime compared to €31.99 with VOI for 400 minutes. The first three rides are free and unlocking the bike doesn’t cost a thing!
New Parking Norms
Starting October 1st, other measures are coming into play, particularly concerning parking for Lime, Dott, and VOI, to prevent congestion in certain areas or a too many bikes on public paths. “When there are between one and three bike racks, meaning six bike spots, parking is forbidden for free-floating bikes. For four to five racks, one free-floating bike per operator can park. For six to eight racks, two bikes can park; for nine to eleven racks, three bikes, and so on, up to 26 racks, where six free-floating bikes can take a spot ” explained David Belliard to Parisien.
